Tamm, Igor

Tamm, Igor
(1895-1971)
   Russian physicist. He studied at the Moscow State University and was professor at the Moscow State University and later directed the Lebedye Physical Institute of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. During the 1920s and 1930s his work concerned the dispersal of light in solid bodies. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1958.
